Motorhome pick ups allowed in Sydney downtown, no drop offs.
The Breezer is not available in Alice Springs.

Opening hours

Brisbane, Ballina / Byron Bay, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth:
Monday to Sunday between 09/01/2011 and 04/30/2012, from 07:30 to 16:00.
Monday to Sunday between 05/01/2011 and 08/31/2011, from 10:00 to 16:00.

Alice Springs, Darwin and Cairns:
Monday to Sunday between 05/01/2011 and 10/31/2011, from 07:30 to 16:00.
Monday to Sunday between 11/01/2011 and 04/30/2012, from 10:00 to 16:00.

Sydney downtown:
Monday to Saturday between 09/01/2011 and 04/30/2012 from 10:00 to 17:30.
Sunday between 09/01/2011 and 04/30/2012 from 10:00 to 15:30.
Monday to Saturday between 05/01/2011 and 08/31/2011 from 10:00 to 16:30.
Sunday between 05/01/2011 and 08/31/2011: Closed

Pick up time

Pick up during opening hours, but before 15:00.

Transfer

Backpacker clients will need to make their own way from the airport to the applicable Backpacker branch, at their own expense.

Minimum rental

• Minimum rental period is five days for the Nomad, Warrior, Wanderer and Off-Roader 4WD vehicle types with the exception of one-way hires.
• Minimum rental period is three days for the Breezer vehicle type with the exception of one-way hires.
• Minimum rental period is 7 days between 12/15/2011 and 01/05/2012.
• Minimum rental period is subject to change during peak periods.
• Rental days are calculated on a calendar day basis.
• Late pick up or early return of vehicle, does not entitle the hirer to any refund of the unused portion of the rental.

Driver's License and age

A current and full motor vehicle driver's license is required and must be produced upon vehicle collection. International driver's license is compulsory.

Age restrictions for the Warrior, Wanderer and Off-roader 4wd vehicles.
Drivers must be 21 years of age over. A medical certificate stating that the customer is fit to drive the vehicle they have booked for the duration of the hire is required for drivers 75 years of age or greater.

Age restrictions for the Nomad and Breezer.
Drivers must be 18 years of age over. A medical certificate stating that the customer is fit to drive the vehicle they have booked for the duration of the hire is required for drivers 75 years of age or greater.

The deposit depends on the chosen insurance package:

Breezer, Nomad, Warrior and Wanderer

Off roader 4WD

Restrictions

• Backpacker reserves the right to refuse any rental at its discretion.
• No animals are permitted in our vehicles, excluding guide dogs.
• Should the hirer decide to take a smaller vehicle than booked they will not be entitled to any refund.
• 2WD campervans can only be driven on sealed/bitumen roads. The only exceptions to this are well-maintained access roads of less than two kilometres to recognized campgrounds and well-maintained, recognized roads on Kangaroo Island (South Australia).
• Off roader 4WD can also be driven on recognized unsealed roads.
• Of roader 4WD are NOT permitted to travel to the following areas: Simpson Desert, Strzelecki Track, Gunbarrel Highway, the Old Gunbarrel Hwy, Cape York, The Bungle Bungles, Oodnadatta Track, Birdsville Track, Tanami Track, the Plenty Highway, the Burke Development Road from Chillagoe to Normanton and Savannah Way from Normanton to Borroloola, Fraser Island, Finke Road (between Alice Springs and Oodnadatta), Central Arnhem Road, Arnhem Land in general, Gibb River Road, Canning Stock Route, the Lost City in Litchfield Park, Boggy Hole (Finke Gorge National Park) and the Old South Road from Maryvale to Finke.
